The Victoria & Albert Museum

On the 15th of February 2010 we visited the V&A museum to explore the different exhibitions and galleries they had to offer. We had a briefing with Kara who works with the education and branding of the museum. She told us what was currently happening and gave us some information on the visiting statistics. We were also shown examples of the branding for previous and current exhibitions and we were given the chance to ask some questions to Kara Relating to the project.

After the brief we took a walk round the museum in small groups, Visiting the exhibitions we were interested in so we could gather research and take some pictures. My favorite exhibitions were the Illustration Awards and the Iron Work.

Here is one i took in the iron work exhibition that really stood out to me, I think the illustration of the crest and floral pattern is amazing considering the piece of art is over 100 years old. I would of definitely liked to spend some more time looking further into the iron work exhibition but we were pretty strict on the time we had.

Have a look at my flickr for the pictures i took: Daniel Linthwaite on Flickr
